dual termination (same fuel type) in to single flue

by Todd

I have a question with regards to national code standards and what they say about terminating like fuel burning devices in to a single flue. My situation is that I have a wood stove thimble in the basement and a fireplace on the main level of my house. Question 1: is this set up ok per the national code? Question 2: If I terminate a pellet stove upstairs through the fireplace flue is that ok per national code?
Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello Todd You must check with your local building athorities, as rules varie from State to State and City to City. You may find information that will help you, and save you money for other things by going to brickcertification.com
Thank you

PS--Check with the authorities, cause in the event there is a fire, your insurance may not cover it if it was done not according to local code.
