Chimney Crown -Mortar or Concrete? NEW
by: Charlie Cummins

Hello Tony, If it were mine I would use either premixed type S mortar, or 40 or 50% Straight Portland Cement and Mason Sand, Or The strongest premixed PSI Concrete you can find.

MY CHOICE would be the portland cement and mason sand if the crown is 2 inches or less. If the crown is more than 2 inches then I would use the strongest premixed concrete you can find.

Thank you
